Assessment Process

• The Contractor confirms that all information which it provides as part of the SSG Assessed application is true, accurate and not misleading.
• All information submitted must be in English.
• Once the SSG Assessed application is received, it will be assessed by experienced professionals against the SSIP Core Criteria.
• Where an application is unsuccessful, feedback is provided to the Contractor identifying areas of non-conformance, together with recommendations of actions required to achieve approval status.
• Following successful completion and passing of the SSG Assessed application, the Contractor shall be an Approved Contractor for a period of twelve (12) months.
• After 12 months, the Contractor must complete a new application which will be assessed against the current standards at that time.
• The Contractor acknowledges that the data it provides shall be made available to Recognised Assessment Bodies for the facilitation and administration of the Common Assessment Standard.

Failure of Assessment

If you do not or are unable to provide the additional information requested on your More Information Request (MIR) within 28 days of your initial assessment, your status will be shown as Expired on the SSG Assessed Portal until you resubmit. Resubmissions after 28 days will be subject to additional fees.

Renewal

Notification of pending renewal will be sent out 12 weeks prior to certificate expiry date. A second reminder will be sent 4 weeks prior to expiry date. Applications can be renewed at any time, however if you do not renew before your expiry date, your organisation will be shown as Expired on the SSG ASSESSED Portal until you resubmit.

Incomplete Applications

Once you have paid for your application, you have a timeframe of 3 months to complete and submit your assessment. If you do not submit within this time, your application will be subject to additional fees.

Certificate

Upon successful completion of the Assessed application, a certificate will be issued valid for a period of twelve (12) months for a full assessment, and in line with current SSIP expiry date for a Deem To Satisfy Application (as explained below).

Deem To Satisfy

For companies who hold an in date SSIP certificate, SSG Assessed provide a Deem To Satisfy option. Upon successful completion of a Deem To Satisfy application, a certificate will be issued until the expiry date of the original SSIP certificate provided. All Deem to Satisfy applications will be checked against the SSIP portal.

Logo

• Upon successful completion of your SSG Assessed application, you will use the SSG Assessed logo to advertise that you have a valid SSG Assessed certificate.
• Use of the SSG Assessed logo must cease immediately if you allow your application to expire or fail to provide the additional information requested on your More Information Request (MIR) within 28 days of your assessment.

Cancellation

Once you complete and submit your application and accept these terms and conditions, you are no longer able to cancel your submission.

Rights of Appeal

There is no right of appeal against rejection of an application, but feedback will be given as to the additional information required to complete your assessment.

Data Protection and Privacy

We will not collect any personal information about you without your knowledge. However, by submitting your data to us you acknowledge and agree that it may be necessary for us to store, process, and/or make use of that data. We will take reasonable precautions to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of information you give us. For further information on how we may store, process and use your data please refer to our Data Protection Policy and Procedure (BAPOL08).

Fees

• Fees for an Assessed application vary depending on the total number of employees and labour only subcontractors.
• Payment will be requested at the start of the application process. You will be unable to commence your assessment until full payment has been received.

Changes to these terms and conditions

We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions of use from time to time and you should review them as often as possible.

Law and jurisdiction

Your use of the SSG Assessed Portal and downloads from it, and the operation of these terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws in England and Wales. Any dispute arising under these terms and conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. In the event that any or any part of the terms contained in these terms and conditions shall be determined by any competent authority to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable to any extent, such terms shall to that extent be severed from the remaining terms which shall continue to be valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.
